We honor veterans

About 20 universal health care activists joined hundreds marching to honor our nation’s veteran’s in the Nov. 3 Veteran’s Day Parade in Colorado Springs. The parade marked a special anniversary celebrating 100 years of Armistice Day/Veteran’s Day (1918-2018).

Colorado Springs co-community organizers Bethany Winder and Kristine Hembre, a nurse and a doctor of osteopathy respectively, led the volunteers, who marched showing patients waiting for care, lady liberty sickened by our corporate-dominated health care system (and politics!), and calling for everyone to have health care affordably.
